⚡Being sorted into my Hogwarts house…again⚡

SmartSelect_20190205-140840_Chrome.jpgHarry Potter Book Night is in a few days and while I won’t be celebrating with a crazy party I still want to take part. So, I thought it would be a fun idea if  I made a new Pottermore account and  tried to  see if I can get into the same house again.

When I joined Pottermore I was sorted into Ravenclaw, and I have embraced it proudly, because I feel like that it really is the house for me. Last night, I created a new Pottermore account and tried to see if I could be sorted into it again  and  * drum roll*…I was! YAY

Many Harry Potter fan only want to be sorted into Gryffindor, but I am more than happy being sorted into Ravenclaw…again. [If you want to see my answers look bellow for the video]

I loved the Ravenclaw’s house traits, not because I really feel like I really have them, but because they are traits that I want to have. Intelligent, wise, sharp, witty and individual.

I also tried to to see if I could get the same Patronus, and Wand, but this time I wasn’t as lucky. My first time I got a Dolphin as my Patronus, which I never really understood. When I look at my personality, a dolphin would not be the kind of animal that I thought could represent me, but according to Pottermore, most of us don’t get to choose our own Patronus. The Patronus form “represents that which is hidden, unknown but necessary within the personality.”SmartSelect_20190204-225632_Chrome.gif

This time my Patronus is a Mountain Hare, and this time I think that it’s a form that fits me better. Also, I’m super happy because it’s the same Patronus form and Luna Lovegood, and she’s one of my favorite characters. I mean, who doesn’t love Luna?!

SmartSelect_20190204-225845_Chrome.jpgMy first wand was a Pear wood with a phoenix feather core 14 1/2″ and slightly yielding flexibility. It didn’t change much, just the type of wood – from Pear Wood to Vine Wood. According to Pottermore, Pear Wood wands usually chooses warm-hearted, generous and wise witches. Those are qualities that I like to think I had. Vine wands usually chooses witches who’s personalities have hidden depths, who always seek a greater purpose and have vision beyond the ordinary. Those qualities seem like a bit of a stretch to me, because I don’t see myself in those terms at all, but we can hope right?!

A new thing to me that Pottermore added is the option to find out your Ilvermorny house, which I thought was really interesting (I think this is something

that they added a while ago actually). Ilvermorny  has four houses like Hogwarts, Thunderbird, Horned Serpent, Pukwudgie and Wampus – which are supposed to represent the ideal Wizard. (Check out Pottermore if you want to learn more about them).

SmartSelect_20190204-224526_Chrome.jpgI was sorted into the Horned serpent house, which  is representative of the mind of a witch or wizard and it’s said that it favours scholars. So basically it’s the Ilvermorny  version of Ravenclaw.  After ‘Goblet of Fire’ I really wanted to learn more about the different magical schools out there and I love that thanks to the Fantastic Beasts film seires,  J.K. Rowling is giving us that information.

Getting immersed into the Wizarding world was super fun! It made me want to re-read the series again…everything makes me want to re-read the series.

⚡Are you celebrating Harry Potter Book Night?  If so how? and FIY I’m super jealous if you are…so celebrate a bit for me too ⚡

  1. Okay, so I’m a Ravenclaw with strong Hufflepuff traits. I am a serious workaholic with a (possibly too strong) sense of justice. Also, I’m a Thunderbird, so I may have literary identity issues… Either way, I am a proud Ravenclaw.
