❤️🎨Alannah by L.A. Casey is LIVE! 🎨❤️
Alannah Ryan is plagued by an old face haunting her dreams, turning her waking hours into a mess of worry. Talking it out with the person she loves the most isn’t a possibility, not when the same face haunts him, too. To protect the love of her life from another burden, she keeps her fear to herself, even as that fear begins to consume her.
Damien Slater has the life he always wanted with the woman he adores by his side, but there’s a problem. His woman is keeping a secret, and they swore they would never let another secret come between them again. Breaking Alannah’s guard will be Damien’s greatest challenge yet as he proves once and for all that he is in it for the long haul.
Alannah admires Damien, and what Alannah admires, Alannah watches over.

When ‘Alannah’ arrived in my kindle, I melted, like I always melt when I get my hands in any of L.A. Casey’s books.
‘Alannah’ is a very emotional novella, and that’s what I love about L.A. Casey’s writing. In ‘Damien’ we saw Alannah and Damien get over their issues and finally get together – in ‘Alannah’ we see them together and I died with their cuteness. Every single couple in this series are #couplegoals but I think Damien and Alannah will always have a special place in my heart.
To any L.A. Casey reader out there I don’t even need to say how hot and sexy this book is, because they will know that an L.A. Casey book is a hot and sexy book. The chemistry between Damien and Lana has surpassed my #boyfriendgoals, it went into #bookboyfriendgoals because we all know that book boyfriends are better.
I do have to admit that I hated Alannah a little bit. Only because Damien proposed to her more than once, and she said no? WHAT? WTF? Though at the same time I totally understand her reasoning. I only hated on her because I’m jealous, who isn’t though?
They are both going at different speeds for a while in this book, and it caused some friction between them, but I’m so glad that at the end they are both in the same page. Alannah telling Damien she was pregnant was so adorable. I love Damien’s reaction, he’s going to be such a cute dad, I’m excited to see how much in ‘Brothers’.
There were many funny scenes in this book, most of them with Alec involved – but the craziest one for me was the Tesco’s scene. It’s literally the craziest scene in this whole series. I think this scene exists to show us that there are some crazies out there. For a second I was absolutely scared for Bronagh. Soliciting Alannah and Bronagh to be prostitutes is crazy enough but, who is so f***** up to jump a pregnant woman? That guy and those women were incredibly insane. It was a bit of a scary scene, but the craziness of it made it hilarious to me later, just like it was for the girls.
Having the usual gang around is fun, but in this book we get to hang around with the Collins’ brothers a little bit more, Gavin specially. I found Alannah and Kalin’s feud absolutely hilarious. Kalin being Gavin’s baby mamma, is extremely jealous of Alannah with Gavin so that ignited some very funny situations it seems. We don’t really get to see most of them, but we’re told some and I loved it. Alannah gave the impression that she was very mouse like in the beginning of this series, but as we know from her confrontation with Kane, she’s not someone to be messed with, and Kalin seems to have found that out with Alannah throwing water in her face at her own party and not taking her shit. All hail Queen Alannah.
Having Gavin more present in this book got me really pumped for the Collins’ Brothers series that L.A. Casey promised us. Alannah and Kalin reconciliation in the end made me really excited for Gavin and Kalin’s story – I’m not sure if they will be together but there definitely will be a story there.
I’m also very much pumped for ‘Brothers’ thanks to this book. ‘Brothers’ is the last official Slather Brothers book ( I say official because I’m guessing the guys and girls will pop up in the Collins brothers books in the future) that will from the P.O.V. of the guys in the future. The sneak peak that we got was from Dominic and it’s about 14-15 years in the future. I can’t believe that Georgie is the only girl that was born in the whole family, from the way that this little teaser ended I’m sure she will cause many, many hilarious situations, I mean come on…she’s Dominic’s only daughter, surrounded by Slaters’ cousins and uncles! Though, she’s Bronagh’s mini-me, I’m sure she will beat them at their own game.
‘Alannah’ was an absolute great read, I will definitely be recommending it to everyone. Here is a little taste…
“Branna,” he all but snarled, his eyes on the burger I held tightly. “What in God’s name is this?”
“Um …” She twitched. “Ye’ … ye’ said years ago that she could be your stand-in for first servin’s if you were ever absent or late to a meal.”
“That privilege was revoked the second she broke my favourite cup!”
“Well, how was I supposed to know that?”
“Because you know me!” Alec stressed.
“I’m sorry, okay?”
He put his back to Branna.
“The betrayal,” he said and placed his hand over his chest. “It runs deep.”
Nico rolled his eyes at his older brother’s dramatics as he bounced Georgie on his knee while everyone else watched the scene unfold with amusement.
“This tastes so good,” I hummed. “It’s really incredible.”
Alec spun around and pointed at me, his hand shaking with obvious anger. “You and me are blood enemies from this day forth, Ryan!”
I had no idea what a blood enemy was, and I didn’t care.
“Fine by me, tight arse.”
Keela covered up a laugh by covering her mouth with both of her hands while Alec glared holes into my forehead.
“I’ll make it up to ye’,” Branna said to Alec, slightly gaining his attention. “In fact, I’ve an offerin’ that will make up for this situation right now.”
“How?” he demanded, refusing to look at her. “That monster used my cup, then fucking broke it, and now she has eaten the sacred first grilled feast of summer. What can you possibly do to make this better?”
“I’ve a bigger plate made up with your name on it.”
I heard Alec swallow. “How big of a plate are we talking here, Branna?”
Hook, line, and sinker.
“Practically triple what everyone else is gettin’.”
His four brothers cursed in outrage while Alec turned to face Branna with the biggest smile I had ever seen on his too attractive face.
“I accept your offering and forgive you for feeding Pennywise first.”
I rolled my eyes, not offended.
“You’d sell your own child for a plate of dinner.”
Alec bared his teeth and hissed at me while holding up his hands and putting his two fingers together to form the symbol of a cross.
“Be gone, demon spawn.”
